The first and also the last night in the Naran, in the mountains of Pakistan. It was time for dinner and I had the pleasure to be around villagers who have been super kind to welcome you to their circle. Sharing the whole experience with you.

The first night out in the Pakistani bazaar to get some food after the Iftar time on the street. I met this lovely family and knew that I had to stay and wait for dinner time. Sharing the whole experience with you including me trying some pre-cut watermelons.

Tying my first Karahi in Pakistan and this is how the whole experience went.

On my last trip to Pakistan, everyone was telling me why I did not go to Peshawar. Indeed that was one of the unique spots I missed on my first trip. I was in Pakistan again to fix that mistake. So welcome to Peshawar!

  As part of Hunza Exploration, I have seen these tents by the road and on the way back to Gilgit I made sure to stop by to visit them. Of course, I was not empty-handed and as part of giving back to the communities where I travel in, I had something for them. Check out the video to see the interactions.

How surprising is it that I got to see the room of a female in Iran? It was very unexpected for me. Saida has been amazing to show some of her art in her room and explain the details. So I did my part as well to surprise her.

  Is this the best food I have ever had in Iran? The answer is definitely "Yes"! This food combination was so smooth and delicious that I will never forget it!

One of the locals on the street recommended me to check out this restaurant in Kashan, so I took the opportunity and it has been such an amazing experience. I have met some incredible people and also got to see a Persian restaurant kitchen.

  After the Tabiat Bridge exploration, we ended up in one of the parks where they had a small modern bazaar and also an amusement park. While we had food and snack, we also enjoyed the real night life of Tehran.  

  Who knew Iran woman has bus drivers? Being in the Islamic Republic is one of the last things I would expect to see and experience. I hope you will enjoy this story as much as I did document it.

Inside Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Since I started to travel and explore Asia, Afghanistan has always been my dream country. The movies I have watched and the books I have read about Afghanistan have built dreamy expectations in my head of the country that I would not be able to experience anywhere else. My visit did not disappoint - Afghanistan was time travel from bustling & unorganized bazaars, street shaves, same clothing in different colors, no brands, magnificent landscapes, and the bravest people with the biggest hearts of hospitality. As in any country I go to, the main objective is to share the day-to-day life and spotlight the ordinary people that the mass media fail to capture.   I recently had the opportunity to visit the Magnificent Blue Mosque and the Shrine of Hazrat Ali in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. It was an incredible experience to witness the grandeur and beauty of these sacred places. Walking into the Blue Mosque, I was struck by the intricate tilework and the towering minarets. The peaceful atmosphere inside the mosque was palpable, and I felt a sense of awe as I looked around at the stunning architecture. I spent some time reflecting and admiring the details of the interior before heading outside to explore the surrounding gardens. The Shrine of Hazrat Ali was equally impressive. The ornate gold and turquoise decorations were breathtaking, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of reverence as I approached the shrine. Inside, I observed many visitors paying their respects and offering prayers. It was clear that this was an important spiritual site for many people.   For centuries, "chainaki" has been the ultimate comfort food for Afghans during harsh winters and, in recent decades, a culinary escape to simpler, happier times amid violence. There is a specific method to having the "chainaki", a wholesome meat soup made in a teapot, called “chainak” in the Afghan language of Dari. First, you take the giant naan that comes with every serving and break it into tiny pieces; fill your bowl with as many as you like. Then, you open your teapot filled with a deep red-orange lamb soup made with tomatoes, onions, fat, and spices, cooked over a slow fire, and pour it over the bread.   The Mazar-i-Sharif Bazaar is an incredibly vibrant marketplace situated in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan. It offers a diverse range of goods for locals and tourists, including spices, textiles, jewelry, and souvenirs. With its lively and colorful stalls, it's an excellent destination for anyone who wants to experience the unique culture of Afghanistan. Taking the opportunity, we started searching for more treasures to look more Afghan on my trip by purchasing a jacket and an Afghani hat.

  On our first night in Mazar-i-Sharif with my guide, we heard about this modern, clean, fancy restaurant, and I knew we had to check it out. As expected, all men were enjoying their dinner, and the restaurant was almost complete. Service, cleanness, food taste, and the environment were excellent; everything cost us only $6. I love Afghani ice cream, so I took another chance to taste heaven before bed. What do you think about both experiences?

  We arrived at Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan after over 6 hours of drive and a few stops. We will spend the night here. As soon as we arrived in the big city, my goal was to get a local dress to blend in with the people much better. So we started the evening searching for a tailor who could make the local dress for me as soon as possible. As you can see from the video, everyone has been super welcoming and supportive to help us to make it happen. Before the video ends, you will see my first encounter with Taliban fighters and our short communication.

CHENNAI, INDIA - While a huge tropical storm hit Chennai and most of southern India, I was stuck in my hotel f or a few days. I decided the rain had worn off a bit and wanted to make my way outside to get some daily steps in. This was the biggest rainstorm in the last 27 years in Chennai. I was walking and found some people living under the bridge and then I started raining again. I pursued down the street and came across an Indian grocery store or you can call it some type of big convenience store similar to 7-11. A worker approached with a blank stare in the store and I thought that was really interesting. The food was extremely affordable and I will go back to grab some more small items while in Chennai, India! CHENNAI, INDIA - I'm in the coastal city of Chennai, India and I'll be exploring the famous Chennai Fish Market "Vanagaram Fish Market". This fish market is the biggest in Chennai and the state of Tamil Nadu which has a population of 72 million. The population of Chennai is just over 10 million as of June 2023. On my flight from New Delhi I met a local Tamil man and he gave me a few recommendations on what to do and where to go. He told me about a bustling local fish market with lots of energy that would be a great place to go during my visit in Tamilnadu. He told me the best time to go would be around 7-10 am and that they get the fish overnight from the Kasimedu Harbor.
